Kia ora koutou katoa/Greetings everyone,

Iwi n Aus  was created  in 2013 by Erina Morunga (SA) and Filipa Payne (NZ)   to provide information and  education around migration issues faced by New Zealanders living in Australia.

Shortly after forming Maria Kumar, a Social Workerfrom Melbourne, Victoria,  joined and formed a support network  to help  homeless New Zealanders  affected by Migration Law.

Four years on  Erina has become a qualified and Registered Migration Agent  and now runs Morunga Migration while Filipa continues to advocate from Christchurch and Maria still continues her role in Melbourne.

The word 'Iwi' comes from the Maori language and is defined as tribe or group of people.

The name, Iwi n Aus  refers to all New Zealand citizens living in Australia, regardless of cultural background or heritage.

We wish everybody well in their search for  stability, inclusion and security as we aim to work toward a brighter future of equality, peace and harmony for our future generations.

Nga mihi nui/Kind regards,

Erina Morunga

Migration Agent Code of Conduct

From left: Filipa, Maria, Erina

"We are here first and foremost for our tamariki/children and their future.

Many Australianand NZ families are being disadvantaged and penalised due to ongoing amendments made to the Migration Act 1958 (Cth).

The system that is in place is failing  and the repercussions and consequences are being placed upon our future generations.

We stand together in true ANZAC spirit working towards a better system that is denying dignity and inclusion, all because we migrate from Aotearoa/New Zealand."
